What does the threshold slider do?
The threshold controls how light or dark a pixel must be to become black vs. white. Lower values keep more detail; higher values produce bolder, simpler shapes.
What does invert do?
Invert swaps black and white. Use it when your subject should appear as white space instead of solid black (or vice versa).
What does the simplify slider do?
Simplify applies a light blur before thresholding, which smooths noisy photos and helps produce cleaner edges in the final stencil.
Which download formats are supported?
Download PNG for printing and Cricut Print Then Cut. SVG wraps the same black-and-white image in an .svg file — it is not a traced vector or cut path.
Can I use the stencil with a Cricut or for printing?
Yes — use the PNG. Print it at home, or import it into Cricut Design Space for Print Then Cut. The output is high-contrast black and white, also handy for spray-paint and airbrush stencils. SVG is the same bitmap in an .svg wrapper, not a vinyl cut path.
