Where it works
Instagram, TikTok, X and Discord accept these characters in bios, display names, posts and messages. They are Unicode symbols, not a font, so a device without a matching font shows empty boxes. Screen readers may read each letter by its symbol name or skip it, so keep names, links and key info in plain text.

Which italic styles are included?
Three: Italic serif (๐ผ๐ก๐๐๐๐), Bold Italic (๐ฉ๐๐๐ ) and Sans Italic (๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ด).
Why does the italic h look different?
Unicode uses the Planck constant sign โ as the italic h, so it sits in a different block from the other italic letters. Some generators skip this and output a blank box; this one uses โ.
Are there italic numbers?
No. Unicode has no italic digits, so numbers stay upright.
How do I write italics on Discord?
In messages, wrap text in single asterisks (*like this*). Display names and server nicknames ignore that formatting, so paste italic Unicode there instead.
Does italic text work in Instagram captions?
Yes. Captions, bios and comments all accept it. Keep hashtags in plain text: an italic hashtag is a different string and will not link to the tag.
