Can I Sell Products Made With EpicPxls Files? Commercial License for Cricut, Laser & POD

Yes: every item comes with a commercial, perpetual license that lets you make and sell unlimited finished products (t-shirts, mugs, signs, decor, client work). You cannot resell or give away the file itself, and you cannot use it in a made-to-order customizer app without extra licenses. Full text: /licensing.

Key limits: These restrictions from the EpicPxls item license matter most for crafters and POD sellers:

  • An End Product must be larger in scope and different in nature than the item—you cannot re-distribute the item as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files, even if modified.
  • You cannot use the item in a made-to-order or “build it yourself” customizer app unless you buy a separate license for each final product.
  • You cannot use the item in a logo, trademark or service mark.
  • Some components may be under open source or Creative Commons terms identified on the item page or in the download.
  • The license can be terminated if you breach it; you must then stop distributing the End Product until you remove the item from it.

What you can do

Under the EpicPxls item license, each download grants a personal, non-assignable, non-transferable, perpetual, commercial, royalty-free, non-exclusive license. In plain terms, you can use the files to make finished products—not to republish the files themselves.

  • Create unlimited End Products for yourself or for your clients, and sell, license, sub-license or freely distribute those End Products.
  • Build an End Product that incorporates the item with other things so it is larger in scope and different in nature than the item—for example, a finished website from a template, or a mobile app for sale that uses a set of icons.
  • Modify, manipulate or combine the item with other works; the resulting works stay under the same license terms.
  • Use the same item in multiple projects (a multi-use license).

Examples (illustrative): t-shirts, mugs, yard signs, vinyl decals and decor you sell at a craft fair or in your shop.

What you cannot do

  • Re-distribute the item as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files—alone, bundled, modified or as-is with superficial changes.
  • Use the item in an application that lets an end user customize a digital or physical product (“on demand”, “made to order”, “build it yourself”) unless you buy a separate license for each final product created that way.
  • Let an end user of your End Product extract the item and use it separately from the End Product.
  • Use the item in a logo, trademark or service mark.
  • Use the item in a product offered for sale where the item contributes to the core value of what you sell (see the licensing page for examples such as offering a UI kit through your hosting service).

Cricut, laser cutting and print-on-demand

Cutting a design in vinyl, iron-on or cardstock with Cricut or Silhouette software, or sending vector art to a laser cutter, is making an End Product when you produce the physical piece yourself or for a client. Listing fixed designs on print-on-demand (POD) where you upload the art and the platform prints each order is also an End Product you create— not the same as running a customizer app where buyers personalize the design; that customizer use needs a separate license per final product under the license text. EpicPxls does not set Cricut, Glowforge or marketplace rules—only the item license and your use of the files matter here.

Who owns the item?

The license grant names the item's author as licensor: the author retains ownership of the item and grants you the license on the terms at /licensing. EpicPxls.com is not a party to that agreement and is not the party giving you the license.

Components under other licenses

Some items include components under another license (open source, Creative Commons, or split GPL). The author identifies those components on the item page or in the downloaded files, and that license applies to the component instead of the EpicPxls item license for that part.

Full license text

The complete EpicPxls item license, including definitions and examples, is on the EpicPxls licensing page. EpicPxls.com is not a party to the license between you and the item's author; the author remains the licensor and retains ownership of the item.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell products made with these files?

Yes. The license allows commercial use and unlimited End Products for yourself or clients, and those End Products may be sold, licensed, sub-licensed or freely distributed when they meet the End Product rules. You cannot resell the files themselves or use them in a customizer app without extra licenses per final product. Read the full terms on our licensing page.

Can I resell the SVG file itself?

No. You cannot re-distribute the item as stock or with source files, alone or bundled, even if modified, or make it available as-is or with superficial modifications. Sell the finished product, not the downloadable files.

Can I use the files on print-on-demand products?

Yes, when you upload your finished design to a print-on-demand service and each order is a fixed End Product you created—not a “build it yourself” app where buyers customize the item itself. Customizer apps need a separate license per final product; see the licensing page.

Does the license expire?

No. The license summary states that the license does not expire—it is perpetual for permitted uses while you comply with the terms.

Can I use them for a client?

Yes. The license explicitly allows End Products for your clients, with the same rules on what counts as an End Product and what you cannot redistribute.
